We could tell you it will be in Hobart, Tasmania’s harbour capital, a provocative mix of history, contemporary art and culture, and beautiful natural surrounds. We could tell you it will be the 20th anniversary of the first EDUCAUSE Australasia conference in Hobart.

At the conference this year, delegates with any smart device with wifi and a browser (including iPhone, Blackberry, Android, iPad, laptop and Macbook) will be able to access the program, speaker biographies and abstracts, a venue map and contact information for the organisers. You will also be able to participate in online polls, surveys and discussions.

Some features require a username and password. Delegates should have received these by email from the conference organisers.

Join us at Sydney’s beautiful Darling Harbour for more than three days of networking with your colleagues and sharing ideas about information technology in higher education. With six keynote speakers and more than 90 presentations, featured talks, point/counterpoint sessions, lightning rounds, and posters, get ready to engage, learn, provoke, and be inspired. Will the IT department survive the Cloud? Is there a Library in the future? Is the Internet making us stupid? Find out what your peers are saying and add your own views to the debate.

Don’t miss the conference exhibition where you’ll be able to see and interact with the latest innovations, technologies, and services. This is also a great opportunity to schedule individual briefings or demonstrations from vendors.

The social program starts Sunday evening with the welcome reception. On Tuesday night enjoy a great meal at the conference dinner and shake out your legs on the dance floor. Then on Wednesday afternoon wind down from an intense week at the sundowner.
